Paid Youth Summer Jobs

The African Nation's primary mission is to create meaningful paid summer jobs for young people through structured educational, artistic, cultural, and career-exploration programs. AFN believes youth benefit when they are given more than a place to spend time. They need supervised opportunities to accept responsibility, complete assignments, develop useful skills, work with mentors, contribute to a shared goal, and receive compensation for meaningful participation.

AFN programs are intended to combine learning and work. Depending on the program, participants may complete supervised assignments in classrooms, studios, workshops, field locations, community settings, cultural spaces, or other appropriate environments.
